Introduction
The fundamental idea behind this project is to build something unique and complete, not just focusing on some aspects while others drop, but gathering the best products from every ambit. The aim is to create just one optimum basic Suite, well-adapted for every kind of user, which can also be easily enriched and customized. To extend to the max user's freedom, reaching every need, the project goes even beyond: we present a huge collection of portable applications, that try to consider also the specific and professional interests of some our users; we finally have included a rich list of portable games, usually neglected by other similar projects, in our broad software database. Full or Lite?
The Full version includes lots of programs and games for everyone, that are organized in various categories (Internet, Multimedia, Graphics, System, Security, Office, Utility, Extra, Games); it is perfect for everyone wants a full suite of software, free and simple to use.The Lite version is completely Open Source and it contains only some essential applications (7-Zip Plus, eMule, Firefox Plus, foobar2000, Notepad++, SumatraPDF, VLC Plus); it is perfect for everyone wants a little suite, that can be customized by the user. The Suite is tested and optimized for 256MB USB flash drive or more, on Windows® XP® and Vista® systems. Most of its applications work also on other Windows® editions.No other requirements needed (the Suite is completely standalone).
Help and Updates
For information about applications: read the "Lupo-HELP.txt" file included in each application folder and visit the online data sheet on our website.Some antivirus report the presence of viruses in Lupo PenSuite: they are false positive, the Suite is completely clean (more info).To update single applications included in the Suite: download the updated program from our website (so it is preconfigured for the Suite) and read the "Lupo-HELP.txt" file to know how to update correctly application settings.To update the whole Suite: read the "How to update the Suite" tutorial, to know how to update correctly (keeping application settings).
